Fall is Here!

I love this time of year.  The changing leaves, crisp fall nights, a crackling fire in my living room, hot cocoa, and the holidays right around the corner.  Driving down any road these days we can enjoy the leaves changing color.  It is fascinating.  Such vibrant reds and oranges and yellows.  Truly remarkable!  Can you hear the crunch of the leaves under your feet?  

If you think about it though, the leaves are really dying.  They are bright green in the spring and summer and once the weather changes and the days are shorter, the leaves start starving and freezing and withering off.   They plummet to the ground becoming compost, feeding the land for next season and yet it is one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen.  What a great place to live to truly experience all 4 seasons!
